Clinical Study on the Situs Inversus Viscerum Totalis

Abstract
|

|
A thirty three year old Korean women, farmer was diagnosed to have Situs Inversus Viscerum Totalis including dextrocardia, hypertrophic gastritis, laryngeal palatine tonsilltis.
On the X-Ray film, the heart was in the right hemithorax, Stomach situated in the right of the abdominal cavity, the liver located in the left abdominal cavity, the most jejunum was in the right of abdominal cavity, and the ileum was in the left lower abdominal cavity. And so, all of the circulatory system, respiratory system, and gastrointestinal tract were in the transposition and mirror image position of the normal without congenital cardiac anomaly of cyanotic groups.
. In addition to this case, twenty-seven cases of Korean inversus viscerum who were reported on the Korean journal since 1923 were discussed in this paper.
